Ha.. Can’t stop the urge to keep learning!
French 2? Mostly because I can already speak mediocre French. My French vocabulary is pretty extensive, it’s the verb tenses that I struggle with now. I was exposed to it for eleven years, but also spent a lot of time away from it moving to the States and then the Philippines— and then back and forth between Canada and the States every few months (bleh).
I took up sign language a loooong time ago and was even given a sign name by a deaf friend (which we were told was the only way you could acquire one), but it’s been years since I’ve ever really practiced. Sadly, all I know is the alphabet, the numbers, and simple “how are you’s, i’m sad, i’m sorry, thank you!”.
As for Spanish, I know it will be helpful for my nursing career. Maybe. And because it’s just so useful around the States, period.
Linguistics .. I love it.
What a nerd, I am. Wish I could disprove it, but i’d fail at trying. Miserably.
